How can I move a reply into a new topic?

Very often customers post additional questions or report problems not related to the current topic and it is important to be able to move them to a new "thread". Without it a topic loses focus and starts to have multiple unrelated conversations.

I was considering asking customers to create a new topic instead but it is not really fair to ask them to do the additional work.
