Search function doesn't find what i want
I am pretty sure there is a topic about this somewhere, but I can't find it because the search function on your website is really poor.
Many times on our own community: community.soocial.com I search for a topic that I know is there. But I can't find it because the results just seem so random. Really old topics will surface in the results and the current topics won't.
We have to get Google to help us sometimes to find the topic that the GetSatisfaction search can't find for us.
And as we as employees can find these topics, the users will never be able too.

Inappropriate?I am not a wee bit frustrated anymore.
I just spend 10 minutes trying to find a topic.
I will give you an example:
We currently have an issue with an early expiration of the Windows Live credentials. I want to point a user to this topic so I go to find it.
Search: live ( I know that word is in the title)
Look at the result:
http://community.soocial.com/soocial/...
The order is completely random. Why would that first result be interesting to me? Or the second one?? It is 8 MONTHS old and has one user involved. Not quite likely that, this is the one I am looking for. IF this would be the one I am searching for then I would expect to have to spend some time searching since it has been a long time ago.
The topic I am trying to locate is on place 8. It is the second most recent topic and the one with the most users involved.
Why not show met the topic with the most Stars or the most recent reply?
At least let me chose.
My biggest worry about this is:
THE USERS CAN"T FIND THE TOPICS IF I CAN"T
sorry for yelling, but I am really not happy about this.
I’m frustrated as you can see.

Inappropriate?I'm sorry that you're frustrated - we know the search feature's not working up to snuff these days, and we're working hard to improve it. We've actually got to replace the core technology we use to drive search, as well as do some UI improvements, so that's why it's taking us longer than we'd hoped.
