Add Last.fm scrobbling support
Since you are soliciting ideas for future enhancement, please add support for submitting (scrobbling) played track names to Last.fm. Last.fm has a web API and free source code available to make this easy for you.

such a great idea. I might listen to all my music all the time on grooveshark if it had scrobbling. It would be THAT good. It wouldnt be much trouble for grooveshark to do it, and it would really complete the package turning GS into the most comprehensive and complete online music player.
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate? Also fantastic would be the addition of a Libre.fm scrobbling plugin in addition to a Last.fm one.
No need to modify code either. Libre.fm implements the Audioscrobbler API, so all you have to do is have an option to scrobble to Last.fm or Libre.fm.
I’m hopeful, but not confident.

I just have to agree here, it shouldn't add much to the workload either. Just another crowd wich you would please, two birds - one stone :). -

from the article: "we also need time to work on new features like last.fm scrobbling, a super-secret redesign, launching on half a dozen mobile platforms, etc." -
yes just hold on ;) -
Inappropriate? It isn't as if this was a very good idea about 6 months ago. Hurry up! Then, I can use grooveshark without worrying about anything at all, and I can share the awesomeness of the music I listen to with all my friends.
4 months ago it was coming, but it's still not here.
I’m waiting

Inappropriate? It's not really a solution, but http://lastfmstats.livefrombmore.com/... may be a workaround, if anyone's willing to manually input data, or build some sort of "Snorkel" utility to collect the played track data from GrooveShark, and feed it to UniversalScrobbler. (I believe that Pandora.FM worked in a similar manner, for what it's worth).
I’m perplexed

Nah, last.fm scrobbler support is primitive. It's like 5 lines of code. It should be implemented into the site itself. Hah, even Audiosurf has Last.fm support^_^ -
Inappropriate?any recent info on this?
-
Inappropriate?I've had to use groovewalrus to get this functionality. It's a valiant effort, to be sure, but it's not the beset. Not even close.
If this got done, it would be AWESOME. Off the MF hook.

Inappropriate?Grooveshark is an awesome thing, but i'm addicted to last.fm scrobbling. Groovewalrus is pretty good, but it's kind of buggy (at least for now, it is still a young application).

Inappropriate?Oh, come on, how long this can take? It's been 7 months since first post here...
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate? It's very easy to implement and it would make me very happy!

Inappropriate?grooveshark team. Your service is awesome lacking a few things. But seriously if you can build an android/iphone app based on java & OBJ C from scratch obviously you guys have the skill to add last.fm support when their api implementation is not as complex as dev languages.
No excuse really. You guys dont provide any analytical option. Just add scrobble and move on. Want me to do it for you guys ILL DO IT FOR FREE...
Stop with the excuses and get to it say NO WE DONT WANT TO IMPLMENT A COMPETITORS PRODUCT OR HEY WE ARE NOT AS SMART AS YOU MAKE US TO BE. Whatever the case is over a year this request been circulating and nOTHING.

Inappropriate?I would certainly never pay for Grooveshark (which I'm very tempted to do since the Android app requires a subscription) if it didn't have scrobbling. Which is too bad cus I want a good music streamer for my phone now that Murdoch took down imeem and I'm sort of meh about Pandora.
I’m ugh

Inappropriate?I tried Rumpus, it works well. It just sits in your systray and does its thing, no actions required.

I'm not seeing anything... -
preview.grooveshark.com. VIPs only, I assume. -
I enabled the scrobbling in the desktop app but it wouldn't work, so I went to preview.grooveshark.com and tried to enable it twice. It was kind of not working. Now it is. -
Cool. It looks like it's integrated with last.fm so it could possibly pull information from my profile (to suggest tracks, etc.) as well, which would be quite cool. -
Inappropriate?Very nice, too bad I switched to libre.fm just a week ago or so :P. Would it be possible to support it too? From what I hear the api is about the same as that of last.fm :).
-
Inappropriate? How do we link our profiles?
-
Goto settings then services tab -
Inappropriate? So if you don't have a "Services" tab, you can't use it?
-
Clear you cache. If its still not there then it is only for vip. -
Inappropriate?I believe it's a VIP thing. Darn.
-
Inappropriate? Why is it VIP only? You don't have to pay to scrobble on Spotify. Please sort it out.
-
Because, as it says if you read around, that scrobbling, like all new GS features, will start as a VIP thing and then get rolled out to all users once it's tested. According to a GS employee on the other scrobbling topic here, it will go to all users quickly. Also, since you're not a VIP member and have (I'm guessing) given nothing back to them but complaints, it is not appropriate to tell them to "Please sort it out". They are not Spotify, nor should they be. -
I haven't given them any complaints, I merely thought it should be a free function as is the case with several other sites/software. That is all, no offence was meant to be taken, I should have worded my comment better. -
Umm, you are about a month late :P Grooveshark came out with this feature already. -
except only VIP can access it -

Inappropriate? Thanks Grooveshark! Just what I needed ... I'm a VIP member so now I can scrobble when listening to your songs... but to be totally fair, you should make this service available to anyone....
I’m excited
