Inappropriate?I have read the information on http://help.twitter.com/forums/10713/... but my tweets still aren't showing up in search. I am most definitely not a spammer either, and have not been notified that I've violated any terms of service.

I received a reply from @dino at Twitter that they were updating my account settings so my tweets would now appear in search results, and they do. My issue is resolved now -- thanks @dino! -

I was also helped by @dino. Issue resolved. -
Inappropriate?Does anyone here know HOW to contact Twitter about this? They used to have a "contact twitter" part on the website, but it looks as if they've deleted it and none of their F.A.Q.s helped me.

I feel exactly the same. -
Inappropriate?This is pretty poor!
I just created a new 'disposable' account and tried posting a duplicate Tweet (which had not been indexed in my regular account) and searched for the hashtag - it came up in the results!
So why doesn't it happen with my regular account?
I'm thinking that somebody is trying to sabotage my account by clicking on the spam button or something!

Inappropriate?Same problem. I'm not a spammer and I didn't used to have this problem, and I have no idea how to fix it.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Same here. One of my Twitter account, @read4change, is not showing up in the Twitter search stream. It's not breaking any of Twitter's best practices.
I wish there was at least someone to contact at Twitter. Seems like an odd customer service model--not having anyone or any inbox available to contact.
I’m frustrated
-
Inappropriate?Twitter claim to be looking into the problem: http://help.twitter.com/forums/31935/... (And, last time I checked, you could add comments to that ticket.)
I’m indifferent

Inappropriate? My account has been out of Twitter search results for more than six months now. The automated processes that are responsible for taking us out of search are apparently not so good at putting us back.
I know that it is just another stick to be ignored by the good hard working folk at Twitter, but I started a Facebook group to help bring people together in one place.
The group is at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?v=i... (Shortened version: http://bit.ly/24hc7h )
Please join the group - if we can gather several thousand people who are currently having this problem into one place then perhaps we can get this fixed.

This is happening to me, too. -
Inappropriate?Me too. I just signed up on Twitter, and I've never come up on any search, no matter how I configure it. There's no help for this. Thus, it seems to me that Twitter is an extremely limited forum. I can follow others, but no point in blogging since nobody will be able to find me when they search.
I’m P.O'd
-
Inappropriate?Me, too. I am certainly not a spammer. I'm an author and speaker and not being able to collaborate at tech conferences because my tweets don't show up in the conference search really makes Twitter useless to me.
I’m frustrated
-
I think there is nothing to do. I've looked through Twitter's "help" section. They really don't care about users. I guess they don't have to. It reminds me why there are only two industries that refer to their clients as "users". -
Inappropriate?Me, too, my Tweets are filtered from the search stream, although my account is not. I keep getting the same email to look over the best practices. I'm not a spammer but I'm not sure which of the best practices I've violated. I've been following them since (I think), but my tweets aren't showing back up and when I reply to the support message I get, it says it failed and I have to open a new one. But it won't let me open a new one.
I’m frustrated (and aggravated)
-
Inappropriate?I just got a response today after filing another help ticket. This time I got a more personal response from Twitter and they fixed it, so try filing another ticket (which you've probably already done). I included the trouble ticket numbers from my previous issues.
I’m happy
-
Inappropriate? How do you file a ticket?
-
Sign in to Twitter and then go here: http://help.twitter.com/requests/new -
Inappropriate?I've posted four separate tickets to Twitter and still nothing.
Am in the same boat as so many of you - just a normal person, tweeting away - retweeting, all sorts of things.
It's so annoying - I use Twitter because I campaign against FGM and when I started on twitter, I got an incredible network of global people instantly accessible - women across Africa.
But now noone can search on me - I can't increase my network in any way and I'm stuck - to me there's no point in just tweeting to my 92 followers - I have to build a network larger than that.
But to give up and start again? Feels too much.
Social media was meant to empower me.
Twitter was meant to help activists like me.....
Grrrrrrr - am so upset by twitter.....
Yours in fellow sadness/disappointment

Inappropriate?Take Mike Petrucelli's advice. I filed a ticket and got a response a day later, and now my tweets show up in searches again! File a ticket here http://help.twitter.com/requests/new

Inappropriate? Please take a look at my profile it needs to be updated because when I look in name search box my name liptasti don't show up

Inappropriate?I have the same problem, and it turns out it's due to changing my username six months ago. So if you've changed your user name, you're automatically banned from the search results (due to a bug, or a company decision, I don't know).
I blogged about the problem - I'm not sure if Twitter really cares:

-
Inappropriate? Not sure if this is any help, but I raised a ticket to get this sorted but turns out I figured out what my problem was without needing the ticket. For some reason I had set the "Protect my Tweets" option in the Twitter Account settings this meant that none of my tweets would ever reach the public time line, so would never reach Twitter Search. Changed this setting and after about 15 minutes my tweets appeared in Twitter Search.
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate? Here is a trick that I think may have worked for me. I switched my account to private, and then I switched it back to public. And now everything seems to be working fine again.
I’m fingers crossed
-
Inappropriate?I have 3 accounts that I use for work, we are not spammers and havent violated any TOS. But all 3 have never shown up in searches since August 2009.

I’m mad
-
Inappropriate?Sorted! I reported my problem here:
http://help.twitter.com/requests/new
Someone (actually Dino!) got back to me and told me that my email address was bouncing and therefore I was flagged as a spam account. So it has been lifted again! I don't know why it was bouncing, seems okay for me now.
Hope this works for you too!

Inappropriate?I have had this problem for a long time, I have tried everything I am told but do not have any luck. I am a huge supporter of Twitter but am extremely disappointed that I can't get this problem resolved. I don't spam, I follow the rules and wish this could be fixed. twitter.com/soapboxholland

I was having the same problem until I tried searching a little differently. Some of my accounts show up under Betsy Modglin, others under betsymodglin, others under betsy modglin and some even BetsyModglin. I haven't gone back in to see how I set them up but I think that may be part of the problem. Try changing your caps and spaces and see what happens. Then when you decide what you want, you can probably fix it on the backend. Hope this helps! -
Thank you for the suggestion Betsy, I will try this and see if it shows up. -
Inappropriate?Soapboxholland, I submitted a ticket at http://twitter.com/help/escalate and had a response within a couple weeks. Even though they only responded with the standard list of potential causes, my tweets coincidentally started showing up in search about the same time.

Inappropriate?Hey Kevin, Thanks for the info - I've tried opening a ticket awhile back, I'll try that again and see if it helps.
Thanks again!!
